Terms and Conditions

 

1.  Payments - Payments must be made either at the start of the lesson by cash or pre-paid by bank transfer no less than 24 hours before lesson starts, unless otherwise agreed. Any payments for block bookings must be used within 3 months of first payment any unused lessons will be lost and no refunds made.

2. Cancellations - If you cannot keep your appointment, at least 24 hours notice must be given or the lesson will be charged in full. This gives chance to fill the space with another student. Your driving instructor may have to cancel a lesson at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances this will be rearranged to a mutually suitable time.

3. Timekeeping - Students should try to be punctual for lessons. The instructor shall only wait for 10 minutes, a message will be sent after 5 minutes. If the student is late, the time lost will be counted as part of the lesson. If the instructor is late, the lesson time will commence when they arrive. If the student is a no-show the lesson will be charged in full. If no payment has been made and lesson cancelled then no further lessons will be booked in or taken until the balance owing has cleared.

4. Safety - If we feel the student is unfit to drive, eg, under the influence of drink or drugs the lesson will be terminated immediately and lesson will be charged in full. If any changes of your ability to drive the instructor needs to be informed, for example your licence has been revoked by a court.

5. Driving Test - On the day of your test you will need to pay a minimum of 2 hours depending on distance to test centre. This covers the cost of use of the car for test and time for to and from pickup point. We reserve the right to refuse use of the car for the practical test if we feel that your driving is not at a consistently safe standard. We would normally give you notice in advance to change your test date and therefore no loss of money for you.
